Exploring the visual tension between 'excess' and 'emptiness', 'control' and 'obsession', I paint, cut, and construct a series of miniature forms in the shapes of Baroque concentric circles and ornate picture frames. Made from a sheet of watercolor paper, and recently porcelain, each of these sculptures contain detailed paintings adopted from European origins of the Eighteenth century, cabinets of curiosities and Victorian illustrated books that I lovingly archived and interpreted.
